Abstract
This compendium deals with the electrochemical aspects of redox reactions. The galvanic element is covered, and the concepts normal potential, electrode potential, and electromotive force introduced. Nernst's equation is not deduced, but examples of its applications are given. The processes of the galvanic element are studied, exterior voltage being laid on to make the element function as an electrolysis cell. Faraday's laws are illustrated by examples. In connection with the text 12 problems are given, illustrating all the concepts mentioned. Solutions of these problems are provided. -- AATA
