Abstract
This report is based largely on Stolow's publication, Controlled Environment for Works of Art in Transit (see AATA (6) A7-119). After introducing and defining terms, he details a fundamental mathematical treatment of humidity changes in a sealed case. The accuracy of the model was confirmed by experiments. Thermal insulation is then considered. After some discussion of actual travel experience with works of art, the author details the ideal container and procedures to be followed in transit.
