This is a very technical paper with diagrams describing the parts of an oriental scroll, their names, and translations into English. Measurements are given of the parts of the painting and their oriental measurements (Shaku and Sun) with equivalent measurements into the metric system. The materials are described and procedures for standard three part mounting.
