Abstract
The author delineates the boundaries of the conservator-restorer of Poland's monuments as it was fixed by law of February 15th, 1962. The nomenclature of professionals for the protection of cultural property is also discussed. The program of studies of the three schools of higher education specialized in the formation of art restorers: the University N. Copernic of Torun, the Academy of Fine Arts from Cracow and the Academy of Fine Arts from Warsaw.
