Abstract
In the first part, the author focuses on conditions of photochemical accelerated aging. The influence of oxygen concentration, moisture content, temperature, the effect of shorter wavelengths, increased intensity of the near UV, continuous vs. Non-continuous exposure, and increased intensity on the results of the aging are discussed. Recommendations are made concerning lamps to be used, and three classes of photochemical stability are described; practical standards are also suggested.
