In cases where radiography produces a confused image of the various layers of an object, stereoradiography can be used to clarify its structure. The technique should be so chosen that the two images when viewed together blend to produce a complete 3-dimensional picture without fatigue to the eyes. The author gives three principles to be followed. While a natural 3-dimensional effect is obtained with a baselength equal to the distance between the eyes, the effect can be exaggerated. A formula is given for calculating the maximum permissible exaggeration which can be obtained without fatigue to the eyes. Three plates are printed in red and green as stereo-pairs, to be viewed with spectacles provided.
