Abstract
Methods and results of a study on ozone fading of natural organic colorants are described. Identification of the products of the ozone-indigo reaction is examined, and corresponding mechanisms that account for the loss of the chromophore are discussed. Also included are the results of experiments involving the reaction of ozone with the major products of the ozone-indigo reaction. -- AATA
