Abstract
Unidentified stains are spotted on the dry-side with oily type paint remover and volatile dry solvent. Wet-side agents are applied according to the color and appearance of the stain. Red pigmented stains are spotted with alkalies, and blue, black, purple, and green stains are spotted with acids or tannin. Stains which appear to be protein are treated with alkalies and a digester. -- AATA
