This report attempts to describe the production methods for core yarns suitable for carpets. Many companies producing such yarns have devised their own special methods and the information is generally undisclosed. Although these yarns are used in speciality products and some hand made carpets, IWS is frequently asked about methods of core yarn production. This paper should help to deal with such enquiries.
