Abstract
The present study emphasizes the efficacy of de-oiled neem seeds and custard apple seeds as a means for protecting artifacts in storage and display cases against Anthrenus vorax, which is a very common pest of woollen (keratin) materials. The larvae, when exposed on the test piece of woollen material, treated with 0.05 and 0.1 g of neem seed and custard apple seed powder, revealed antifeedant effect, irrespective of the doses applied. Although both products were found effective protectants, custard apple seed powder was comparatively more effective.
