Attempts to identify and categorize the important insects which harm organic art and cultural objects. The treatments given include fumigation with a mixture of carbon disulfide creosote and naphthalene of various materials and application of arsenic pentaoxide and pyroarsenic acid to skin and natural history specimens. Also suggests guidelines for research to develop safer and more effective chemicals to treat cultural heritage.
