Abstract
Most of the monuments in Rajasthan, India, suffer from biological growth during the summer and rainy season. Architectural designs, bas-reliefs, carvings, and wall paintings show symptoms of degradation with the presence of green and black stains and their hard deposits. A few examples of chemical treatment of the monuments having biodeterioration problems are described here, as a case study.
