A study of the role of Iran in the development of bronze art and technique by the author of <i>Islamic Bronze and Brass Waresfrom Iranian Lands. The occasion for the article was an exhibition (organized by MelikanChirvani) of 160 Iranian bronzes at the Victoria and Albert Museum in April, 1976. Noted for their sophisticated geometry and form are somerecently discovered white bronzes of Khorâsân. The seldom acknowledged use of representational motifs for geometric decoration is discussed. -- AATA
