Abstract
The provenance of many cult vessels found in the temples of Philistine Qasile (the ancient name is unknown) was investigated, since Qasile is not considered to be within the direct Philistine territory. Samples from 69 specimens of pottery were examined by instrumental neutron activation analysis in order to clarify issues such as the settlement and the relations of the Philistines (and perhaps other Sea Peoples) with other peoples who inhabited Canaan in the 12th-10th centuries BC.
