A collection of stone arrowheads from the stratified settlements of (formerly) Soviet Central Asia is presented (ca. 50 artifacts). They are made of stone flakes, retouched from both sides by the pressure technique and edge-retouched technique. Proceeding from the date accepted now by Soviet scholars, the author concludes that the mentioned techniques existed in the territory of Soviet Central Asia as early as the Mesolithic. Comparisons are made between the sets of arrowheads originating from the Neolithic sites of the mountainous regions and the valleys, and on the other hand, between the Neolithic and Bronze Age arrowheads.
