This article presents the results of restoration work at the Museum of Modern Art in Vienna, which was part of a seminar report at the Meisterschule für Restaurierung, Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. It concerns the removal of ballpoint pen ink from the painting La Regina del Regno dei Fiori canta Nicola, Nicola, Nicola aaa by the Italian artist Nicola De Maria. The white acrylic-bound surface of the painting had been scribbled on while the picture was on exhibition. The ballpoint pen paste was removed with morpholine and hydrogen peroxide without leaving any traces.
