Rescue curation, the subtle art of curating old and neglected collections is applicable to many old geology collections which are often in a state of neglect and decay. A ten stage systematic approach to the curatorial work involved in this rescue is given. It is important that information on old packaging labels etc. should not be lost. 10 references
