Abstract
Limestone, marble, and sandstone specimens were treated with acrylics, acid-fluorides, epoxies, ethyl silicate, fluorocarbons, limewater, methacrylates, silicones, sodium silicate, and sodium siliconates. Treated and untreated specimens were tested for UV-radiation, freezethaw, NaC1, and sulfurous acid in a chamber for accelerated decay. None of the treatments improved all tested properties such as appearance, water absorption, water vapor permeability, abrasion resistance, hardness, etc. -- AATA
