Abstract
The author of this study suggests a system for the classification of vernacular architecture buildings perfected and tried out in England. The essential criterion of this system is based on the division of monuments into four categories: monuments of stone, brick, wood, and earth; a questionnaire is then drawn up for each building conceived in a way that allows the minute recording of all data. -- AATA
