Abstract
The author describes the restoration and conservation techniques used for three objects: the VIX crater (the bowl had been torn and deformed), the statue of Pacatien (which was in 220 pieces), and the plinth of a statue of the Emperor Claudius (which was in c. 800 pieces). Glass fiber impregnated with polyester resin was used to piece together the fragments.
