Abstract
This paper is devoted to examining the origin and development of metallurgy in Bronze-Age Italy, especially as it appears in the Remedello, Rinaldone, and Gavdo cultures, in the context of current discussions of diffusion vs. autochthony in the archaeology of the Mediterranean basin.
