Abstract
Examination of a Grecian skin-scraper showed that it was not cast but skilfully forged from one piece of metal. Sections through the blade were the focus of a metallographic examination which indicated that the metal was subjected to severe cold working prior to annealing. The hardness was found to be reasonably constant over most of the length of the blade which analysis revealed to be a tin bronze of considerable purity. Impurity levels of eleven elements are given. -- AATA
