A major review of the extent of our knowledge of the Roman iron industry of the Weald in Sussex England in the light of recent excavations. The paper gives a long gazette of excavated sites and the evidence from them, especially the presence of tiles bearing the stamp of the <i>Classis <i>Britannicus the Roman fleet. -- AATA
