Abstract
A 3,000 year old Egyptian mummy, Lady Tashat, of the Minneapolis Institute of Arts, has recently undergone a computerized axial tomography (CAT) scan as well as being the first mummy to be examined by a nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) scanner. The NMR scanner, using magnetic force, can measure the density of hydrogen atoms in human tissue and the relationship of those atoms to the surrounding environment. -- AATA
