Abstract
Data on the building complex (among the oldest schools in England) and its surroundings in the precinct of Canterbury are presented. Criticism of the architects' modern insertions into the ancient maze-like fabric; by sympathetic choice of forms and materials, the new constructions fit into their surroundings without copying.
