Abstract
Article offers a method of examination and documentation of architectural structures, including the Bendix Port-a-shot, and using portable x-ray radiographic units, Radiography with a portable machine is used for: 1) dating and historical information 2) survey of the structural elements of a building (especially for engineering and restoration purposes) 3) indication of internal deterioration. Principles and practices of x-radiography procedure are discussed. There are pointers regarding the critical areas in the building that should be radiographed. (See also AATA 10-545).
