Abstract
Dippers of bent woods are rarely found in good shape: they are always broken or modified by the earth pressure. This paper reports on conservation treatment using alcohol-xylene-resin method and polyethyleneglycol methacrylate (PEGMA) for excavated dippers. The finishing with PEGMA which improves the texture, strength and tone of the materials makes this treatment easy and greatly reduced the time for the restoration.
