During archaeological excavations at the site Dolni Vestonice II, parts of the Pavlovian cultural layer and the area of a triple burial were sampled for pollen analysis. The reconstruction inferred from palynological data suggests park vegetation with groups of coniferous and deciduous trees, and a variegated herbaceous vegetation rich in heliophilous species. Numerous sporophors completed the vegetational cover. Algae indicated the presence of surface water. In conclusion, the analyzed samples represent one of the warmer fluctuations in the later part of the Würmian Interpleniglacial period.
