Abstract
The influence of silica gel on the acidity of air in a showcase is investigated. Out of three types, one seems to give a potential danger of decreasing the pH. Extraction of the water soluble salts, present in the silica gel is possible but does not seem to influence the acidity. (See also <i>AATA </i><b>25-85</b>.) -- AATA
