Abstract
Infrared spectra of 12 Bronze Age amber artifacts found in the Caves of Hasard and Prevel, Department Gard, in southern France show them to be of Baltic amber. The spectra of local amber deposits are similar but clearly distinguishable. The amber spacer beads from the Cave of Hasard are related to those of northern Europe as well as of Greece. -- AATA
