In the restoration of the hall of the castle of Dachau, the work on the large wooden ceiling (12 x 34 meters), which had been removed in the 19th century, was the most difficult. The wood was washed, impregnated against biological attack, stained according to the original colors of the wood and mounted on the ceiling, with special fire preventive measures being taken.
