To find a preparation less toxic to fish than lindane (in connection with possible subsequent floating or irrigation of sprayed wood) the following preparations were tested: lindane, methoxychloride, carbaryl, propoxur, phosmet, diazinon, tetrachlorvinphos, phenitrothion and phoxim. None was as effective as lindane at similar concentrations and dosages. Recommended dosages and concentrations for lindane per m² of different stack surfaces are given. -- AATA
