Abstract
The electrochemical reactions of metallic objects are described. General methods employed in cleaning and stabilizing metal objects include electrochemical cleaning, electrolytic cleaning, mechanical methods, intensive washing and drying, and impregnation. Special methods used in treating silver and its alloys, copper and its alloys, iron and lead are also examined.
