Abstract
Seven important monuments in the vicinity of tropics are described from the point of view of site, climate, materials, deterioration, and protection measures. The observations refer to the Sanctuary at Borobudur in Ludnesia, the site of Pagan in Birmania, the site of Ayoudhya in Thailand, Perepolis in Iran, the site of Hatra in Irak, the site of Chan-Chass in Peru, and Bonampak in Mexico.
