Abstract
The eight month series of conservation seminars at the Fogg Museum entitled Conservation for Museum Professionals, funded by a grant from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, has met with great response from New England museums. The workshops are aimed at small museums which may not have a resident conservator and for whom the Fogg acts as a regional laboratory for advice and technical assistance. Topics include handling and storing art objects, environmental controls and exhibitions, conditioning works of art, loan policy and packing and shipping, first aid for damaged or endangered works of art, proper framing and mounting methods, technical examination of works of art, and final open session. -- AATA
