Abstract
The qualities of a new adhesive, Beva #371, for consolidation of paintings which have defied treatment with conventional methods are described. Instruction for use of Beva #371 and a report on several problem paintings mounted with it follow the text: 1) Paris Through the Window by Chagall, large oil on unprimed canvas; 2) Arab Boy by W.M. Chase, a torn pastel mounted on canvas by the artist; 3) Acrylic on paper No. 67 by Adolph Gottlieb, was mounted transparently to show the inscription on the back, 4) A broken Chinese wall painting on unbaked clay. -- AATA
