Self-adhesive films offering screening protection from ultraviolet light are body-dyed (where the ultraviolet absorber is incorporated into the polymeric film) or have the absorber introduced into the adhesive layer which attaches the film to the glazing; some films offer both for additional protection. Most films tested were made in the United States by Courtaulds or Madico. Test results are summarized in a table for filter transmittance and ultraviolet content of transmitted daylight. (Color properties were also tested. )
