A short discussion of the state of documentation in museums in Britain, and suggestions for: 1) a standard recording method within each discipline, 2) a common language, 3) computerization, 4) a national clearing house. The Museum Documentation Association is suggested as a suitable body to coordinate this work. -- AATA
