Abstract
The consolidation of samples previously described has sometimescaused the formation of cracks in the wood, which tend to make sectioning with the microtome difficult. It has been replaced by an inclusion in a small tin mold with the mixture of methylmethacrylate and dibutylphtalate. The polymerization, which is started by the addition of dimethylaniline, is completed in approximately three hours. This method is much faster and makes the use of a drying oven unnecessary.
