The importance of saving parchment and paper objects is discussed noting what has been done in this direction at the Centre de recherches sur la conservation des documents graphiques de Paris, under the direction of Mme. Francoise Flieder. A brief history of the Center is given mentioning the research done there on the problems and treatment of deterioration of paper. M. Br. -- AATA
