Abstract
Describes a process for regenerating darkened lead white pigment on paper by exposure to vapor from a mixture of hydrogen peroxide and ether, alternated with vapor from ammonia. The treatment is restricted to the affected area by masks. The method has been in use in the Soviet Union for more than 25 years with good results reported.
