Abstract
These objects were obscured by a green coating of copper compounds derived from the alloy. Formic acid was used generally for cleaning, either by immersion or by local application. A fine spray of bauxite grit was also used for this purpose. Cleaned fragments of silver were reset in plasticised epoxy-resin. Some objects too fragile to clean were encased in portable desiccator cases. -- AATA
