This manual has been prepared to provide procedures governing corrosion arrestment, preservation, maintenance in storage, represervation, and depreserving of installed aircraft engines and auxiliary power units, to be stored at the Military Aircraft Storage and Disposition Center (MASDC), Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Arizona. Uninstalled engines shall be processed in accordance with the applicable services' directives (Table 1-1). This manual includes instructions for preparation of aircraft engines for withdrawal from storage. Also included are instructions devoted to miscellaneous processes and procedures peculiar to MASDC operations. Instructions for preservation of aircraft and related equipment may be found in Desert Storage Preservation and Process Manual for Aircraft, T.O. 1-1-686/NAVAIR 15-01-4/TM 55-1500-331-34.
