Industrial manufacturing tolerances and market demand for products of high quality are prompting a new look at technologies available for the prevention of corrosion in the manufacturing and storage of metal parts. One of the options available to industry is control of atmospheric humidity to levels below the point where rapid corrosion occurs. This paper surveys the literature available on appropriate humidity control levels for different materials and discusses the practical mechanics of maintaining those levels in industrial environments.
