The author describes some pertinent problems faced in various monuments of India; Red Fort, Delhi; temples of Khajuraho; wall paintings in Rai Lakshmi Bai Palace; Jhansi; wall paintings of Bagh; the iron pillar of Delhi; brick remains at Kalsi; Sun Temple of Konarak; Stupa of Sanchi; and Shyam Bai Temple, Bishnupur.
