Abstract
Although sporadic archaeologic excavations have been going on at Narona since the last century, in 1968 the Archaeological Museum of Split started systematic investigations. The purpose of these studies was to find out the plan and the development of the town. The city had a fanlike design, sloping down and widening to the east. The city walls appear to have been constructed after the organization of the emporium. -- AATA
