Abstract
On limestone figures from archaeological site the tempera colors were fixed only with clay and salts. The stone was impregnated with ethyl silicate and the colours were fixed with polyurethane after which the stones could be washed. Broken parts were glued with epoxy resin after reinforcing the break edge. -- ICCROM
