Abstract
The problems of historical collections are discussed with particular reference to their storage. The characteristics of historical collections demand a wide range of storage and display facilities and there are many hidden problems which cannot be overcome by the standard environmental and past control systems. The historical collection storage system of the Western Australian Museum is discussed to illustrate the problem. -- AATA
