Abstract
Finite Element Analysis has been successfully applied by the WUTA Conservation Group in performance of recent treatments of monumental outdoor sculpture in the United States. The concepts of Finite Element Analysis are introduced and explained to the reader. Two case histories illustrate application of the decision-making power of the technology when properly applied by an engineer fully versed in the application of such technology.
