Field-work on a 17th century whaling station at Red Bay, Labrador, by the Conservation Division of Parks, Canada, provides information on the packaging and transport of waterlogged organic artifacts. A wide range of packaging materials and how they are employed are discussed, and techniques for temporary tank storage of bulk finds are described.
